We are excited to announce another addition to our Spooky Season event series this Fall! Author David J. Goodwin will we leading a discussion and presentation on horror writer H.P. Lovecraft’s adventures throughout New York City, including a visit to the King Manor Museum in 1925! Come and learn about the author, his adventures, and how his life intersects with King Manor.
David J. Goodwin is the Assistant Director of the Center on Religion and Culture at Fordham University and a Frederick Lewis Allen Room scholar at the New York Public Library. His first book, Left Bank of the Hudson: Jersey City and the Artists of 111 1st Street (2017), explored the relationship between artists, cities, and gentrification. He has contributed to Strong Towns, The Metropole, and Sapientia, and his articles on author H. P. Lovecraft have appeared in Urban Archive, The Providence Journal, and Gotham. Goodwin is writing a biography of Lovecraft and New York City. He enjoys nothing more than talking with an audience about cities and culture.
