Online Learning

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, King Manor is offering free lessons and activities to help families connect with history and community.

These resources are free and available for use by educators and families, and will be available permanently. They can be used as lessons unto themselves, further reading for students, and pre- or post-visit materials for your trip to King Manor!

Each lesson or activity covers a broader topic of the nineteenth century, giving insight to Rufus King’s early-American world, his son John’s early-Victorian one, and his granddaughter Cornelia’s late-Victorian experience. Lessons are intended to be accessible and multi-level, focusing on critical-thinking moments that connect students to history and community through their own daily experiences. Please enjoy, and we look forward to welcoming you, your families, and your students to King Manor for a school program or tour!

New lessons and activities will be uploaded periodically.
