Making History Workshops: Doughnuts! (Ages 9-13)

August 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

The sixth and final of King Manor's FREE weekly summer workshops for ages 9-13!

Without the convenience of modern cooking technology, women in the 1800s had to be very skilled in the kitchen and find ways to make life more convenient. One of these solutions was a Dutch oven! Using a traditional method of outdoor cooking, participants will get to try making fried doughnuts in our Dutch oven to eat and enjoy.

Making History Workshops at King Manor are a FREE weekly summer program for pre-teens and teens (ages 10+), every Wednesday! Every workshop features one project based on the daily lives of the diverse community of Queens in the 1800s, where kids can try their hands at real recipes, methods, and concepts from the 19th century. Join us for these sessions as well:

PLEASE NOTE: RSVP for each session required. Individuals (and siblings) only, no groups.
