Making History Workshops: Cheesemaking! (Ages 9-13)

July 17 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

The second of King Manor's FREE weekly summer history workshops for ages 9-13!

Two hundred years ago, King Manor was home to several milking cows, so in this session, we'll be making our own cheese! Participants will get to learn about one type of 19th century cheesemaking firsthand and enjoy eating their delicious creation at the end. Students will also get to churn their own butter if time permits.

Making History Workshops at King Manor are a FREE weekly summer program for pre-teens and teens (ages 10+), every Wednesday! Every workshop features one project based on the daily lives of the diverse community of Queens in the 1800s, where kids can try their hands at real recipes, methods, and concepts from the 19th century. Join us for these sessions as well:

PLEASE NOTE: RSVP for each session required. Individuals (and siblings) only, no groups.
